VORTEX, A WORLDWIDE PATENTED INNOVATION
The VORTEX VX1982-35.5, the hybrid locking which comes with the “Compact Profile”, is a worldwide patented innovation. This mortise, or embedded, model can be installed on all types of doors, both inside and outside, thanks to its anti-corrosion treatment and its unique IP43 protection class (in mortise).

UNIQUE TECHNOLOGY FOR EXTREMELY POWERFUL LOCKING (> 15,000N)
The “Compact Profile” (HDL HQMAG 15000N) comes with a hybrid lock (electromagnetic + mechanical) of the same size as a “35.5” electromagnet. It guarantees extremely powerful locking; up to ten times more efficient than basic electromagnets on the market! The exclusivity of this hybrid lock resides in a “diabolo” machine-manufactured from a high-strength alloy. The latter is captured within a well using the action of a vortex of electromagnetic forces. At this stage, the locking is ensured by the kinetics of the magnetic block. In the event of an attempted intrusion, the mechanical lock is triggered. The “diabolo” is trapped in the well by the deployment of the metal balls contained in it. The VORTEX is thus capable of resisting a break-in (pressure/tension) greater than 15000N (1500kgf), comparable to “grade 6++”!

MANAGING EMERGENCY EXITS (EN 13637, CHAP. 7)
Like all our electromagnets, the VX1982-35.5 complies with the requirements of EN 13637 chapter 7, the voluntary European standard on managing the systems for emergency exits. This norm requires that all the actual performances of the components of the locking parts of the system appear on a standardised label. This label is applied to all of our electromagnets.

A PATENTED PRE-ALARM SYSTEM
The “Compact Profile” is equipped with a pressure/tension sensor. This technology allows the VORTEX to trigger an alarm (local and/or channelled) BEFORE the break-in. It is a unique system in the world of security and possesses a worldwide patent.

ELECTROMAGNETS INTRINSICALLY WITHOUT MAGNETIC REMANENCE
The HQMAG electromagnets have been designed with specific, exceptionally high quality materials according to our unique know-how, and have never been defective for 35 years and counting. This dual requirement applied to the “Compact Profile” (HDL HQMAG 15000N) offers a locking intrinsically without remanence. Therefore, at HQMAG, no mechanical repeller, or electric repeller (Kick-off), with reliability that is uncertain over time is added.

HIGH CORROSION RESISTANCE and DURABILITY
Like the other HQ MAG ranges, the VORTEX included in the”Compact Profile” features a certified anti-corrosion treatment of unrivalled quality. It also has unparalleled endurance that allows it to withstand 1 million cycles without failing.
